Visit Vigan

 In January, when the city's cultural traditions and modern festivities mix, enjoy a a single day tour around the pleasant streets of Vigan. Arriving at this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the popular Calle Crisologo, with its cobblestone streets and beautifully restored Spanish-era homes done out in shining Christmas lights. The city's charming setting invites you to begin your journey with an enjoyable walk and a taste of the local food at the charming cafes covering the pathway. 

After visiting Vigan, you can come and experience some of their festivals like Longganisa Festival like I did. So when I did go, there were these street dancers took over, lighting up the streets in a crazy flash of color. In my opinion, their performances were okay, everyone in the crowd was amazed of them because of their talent. Some of them even brought Sto. Niños and longganisa into the mix as props. The whole street was transformed into a canvas full of expressions of culture. It was so nice to see it in person.

Sadly, I don’t go out that much. I didn’t come to Vigan and watch some activities like, Sayaw, Talento, at Galing ng Educators Competition, Search for Miss Vigan 2024, Marching Band Competition and all that stuff, but don’t let that discourage you, I still had a fun time watching the Longganisa Festival. So come on down next time and experience/enjoy Vigan City’s rich culture.
