Ict them

In light of Proclamation No. 244, September holds the distinction of being National Clean Up Month, emphasizing the significance of environmental stewardship. The Clean and Green campaign stands as a testament to our collective commitment to safeguarding the environment, urging communities to adopt eco-conscious lifestyles. It's a poignant reminder that natural disasters can wreak havoc when preventive measures are lacking or when human activities disrupt the delicate balance of ecosystems. Thus, fostering a sense of responsibility towards our environment is not just a duty, but a necessity to ensure the well-being of our planet and future generations.

we should plant trees because they help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity

By watering plants, we not only support their growth and health but also contribute to a healthier environment for ourselves. The symbiotic relationship between humans and plants emphasizes the importance of caring for them, as they directly impact our well-being by ensuring clean air, water, and overall environmental balance.

Using tumblers instead of plastic bottles is environmentally friendly for several reasons.

Plastic bottles contribute significantly to pollution, taking hundreds of years to decompose in landfills. By using reusable tumblers, we reduce the demand for single-use plastics, thereby decreasing the amount of plastic waste in the environment.

We should do our part in segregating waste ‘causeSegregating waste ensures that recyclable materials are separated from non-recyclable ones. Recycling reduces the strain on natural resources by reusing materials, leading to less environmental degradation.

The resiliency of the Philippines

In recent years, the Philippines had faced a lot of challenges, from natural disasters and economic downturns to political unrest. As we strive to build a better and more resilient country, it is important to address these issues head-on.

The Philippines is no stranger to natural disasters, with frequent typhoons, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions testing our nation's resilience. To build a more resilient Philippines, we must invest in disaster preparedness programs. This includes early warning systems, building resilient infrastructure, and educating communities on evacuation procedures by focusing more on disaster preparedness so we could minimize the human and economic toll of such disasters.

In addition to natural disasters, the Philippines faces socio-economic challenges that affect our nation's resilience. This includes poverty, unemployment, and inequality. To address these issues, it is important to promote sustainable development practices. This involves investing in renewable energy sources, supporting small entrepreneurs, and add inclusive growth policies.

The youth are the backbone of our nation's future. To ensure a more resilient Philippines, it is important to teach the young generation through education and skills training.

So in conclusion Building a more resilient Philippines requires collective effort, determination, and adaptability. By prioritizing disaster preparedness, fostering sustainable development, empowering our youth, and enhancing governance and accountability, we can create a brighter future for our nation. Let us work together to create a Philippines that not only survives but thrives in the face of adversity. Only then
can we truly achieve resilience and create lasting positive change for generations to come.

Hello there,

Me and I

Hello there, I'm Maundy R. Viaje, a 15-year-old living in the charming town of Poblacion Sta. Catalina in Ilocos Sur. My family consists of my religious and kind-hearted mother, Joane, and my hardworking father, Edmar. The story behind my name is pretty interesting – my mom, being quite religious, named me Maundy after Maundy Thursday. She told me that the name stood out to her, and she thought it was unique. I guess it's kind of cool having a name with such a meaningful origin. Life at home is cozy, although I don't get to see my dad as often as I'd like due to his role as the main provider for our family. But when our paths do cross, I make sure to carve out some time to chat with him or challenge him to a game of classical chess. Those moments might be brief, but they're precious to me.
Living in this small town, I've learned to appreciate the simple things in life. School keeps me busy, juggling homework, friends, and trying to figure out this whole high school thing. Despite the hustle and bustle, I find solace in the love and support of my family, especially during those rare moments when we gather around the chessboard, sharing laughter and creating memories that I'll cherish forever.

My weekends are a mix of chores, games, and family time. I often pitch in to help my mom with household tasks, which makes me feel responsible and gives us a chance to bond. When I'm not busy with that, I dive into the world of online games, getting lost in virtual adventures that let me unwind and escape from the routine. Chess is another one of my passions; there's something thrilling about strategizing and outsmarting opponents. On Sundays, my family and I attend church, a tradition that brings us closer and instills values in us.
During school breaks, my routine shifts. I become a night owl, losing myself in online games and YouTube videos until the early hours. I don't have a large circle of friends, so my social outings are
limited. Usually, leaving the house means a trip to buy necessities. Most of my time is spent in my room, eagerly awaiting the next day's challenges. The familiar comfort of my space allows me to be myself, embracing both the excitement of my virtual endeavors and the peace of simply waiting for what tomorrow might bring.

I think the best word that describes me is that I'm always distracted. When I'm at home or school I just get distracted or my mind just wonders off but I think my father taught me the game chess to not get easily distracted because in chess you have to checkmate the king to win using tactics and
